Event Logo Refresh

Moveworks.global 2025

Role: Lead Visual Designer
Scope: Logo iteration and visual identity refinement

Overview

For Moveworks.global 2024, the objective was to refine the core event logo to better reflect the evolving scale and strategic ambition of the conference. The original mark had established recognition, but it required adjustments to improve clarity, flexibility and cohesion across print, digital and environmental applications.

Challenge

The existing logo conveyed motion and connection, but it lacked the structural definition needed for consistent reproduction across diverse contexts , from large-format signage to small digital assets.

Key requirements:

  • Preserve established brand equity

  • Improve legibility at multiple scales

  • Ensure adaptability for dynamic event environments

Approach

I conducted a focused audit of existing logo usage to assess performance issues related to hierarchy, form and scalability. Based on this analysis, I refined the logo mark to clarify visual logic while maintaining its core conceptual identity.

The updated approach prioritized:

  • Structural simplification to enhance clarity at both small and large scales

  • Improved geometric balance for consistency in motion and proportion

  • Flexible lockups to adapt across media without dilution

System & Execution

The refreshed logo system included:

  • Multiple lockups for horizontal, stacked and icon-only use cases

  • Clear usage guidelines for spacing, scale and color treatment

  • Documentation to support internal teams and external partners

This ensured consistent application with minimal ambiguity regardless of production environment.

Outcome

The refined logo delivered a clearer, more versatile visual anchor for the event identity. It improved legibility and strengthened visual cohesion across all touchpoints, from environmental signage to digital communication.

By aligning the mark’s structure with application needs, the system reduced production friction and enhanced brand presence at scale.

Reflection

This iteration underscored how strategic refinement, not reinvention, can significantly improve clarity and execution efficiency in established visual systems.
